Why We Postponed the Parade...
Based on early weather reports from News 12 (thank you Rich Hoffman), the Parade Committee quickly decided Wednesday morning, March 10, that delaying the Parade was in everyone's best interest. It just wouldn't be smart to send floats full of children and seniors into several inches of rain and strong wind.
And after seeing the weather Saturday morning and afternoon, the Parade Committee got it right.
The Parade Committee thanks the Village of Westhampton Beach's Mayor Connie Teller and Chief Ray Dean for helping us with the rescheduling as well as The Southampton Press and WLNG for getting the word out about the change.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, March 27th--especially the sun!
