The Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade
Committee is proud of the work we do. For more
than 41 great years there has been a parade. And
it's more than a parade, it's the unofficial signal that
winter is almost over and that summer is near.
I grew up in Westhampton Beach and every year I
would look forward to the parade with my friends. Now, years later I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to give back to the community and the Parade Committee. And I think I can vouch for every other committee member that they feel the same way, too.
We've worked hard to add to our parade so that we offer families much more before and after the big event. It takes a lot of work to go out and solicit donations and coordinate all the little things that go into making a parade. Of course, a big thanks goes out to all of our terrific sponsors.
We've added fireworks, a carnival, an airshow, an Irish Breakfast, a Corned Beef and Cabbage Lunch, shows at the beautiful Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, Irish Rock Bands and this year, the Harlem Wizards in conjunction with the Westhampton Rotary. The reason we do this is simple.
We want people to have fun all weekend long.
We donate thousands of dollars a year to local charities and look to get involved in more worthy causes. This past winter we helped coordinate a holiday toy drive at the Westhampton Steakhouse for children of a local orphanage. It was a huge success as we collected thousands of dollars in toys for kids.
